WIHO got off to a fantastic start beating Blizzard 5-2. Everyone skated hard and played to win! WIHO players had great control of the puck and capitalised on most of the opportunities to put the puck in net.

6th October 2008 - WIHO 3 (SO) vs. GI Japan2 [HKIHL -Division 3]
Nicolo Hayat - 1 goal / Shootout goals by Nicolo Hayat and Nelson Hau
"A closely contested battle needed a shootout to determine a winner. An evenly played game - no scoring after the first period and it was 1-0 for WIHO after the second on Nicolo's first goal of the season. GI Japan tied it up in the middle of the third on a goal by Naoi. No scoring in OT and the teams headed into a shootout. The first 2 shooters missed. WIHO's second shooted - Nicolo made a nice move on Alan Chan's stick side and scored to give WIHO the lead. Edgar Lau shut the door on Japan's next shooter and it was up to Nelson Hau. Hau put the same move - deke to the stick side and scored to give WIHO their first win of the season.

29th September 2008 - WIHO 1 vs. IceWolves 2 [HKIHL -Division 3]
Trisha Kong - 1 goal
The HKIHL 2008/2009 season started and WIHO had its first game last night with some new joiners to the WIHO team. WIHO welcomes Chris But, Wing Chan, John Chu, Nicolo Hayat, Edgar Lau and Adrian Yuen as the new joiners, joining the old timers, Adrienne Li, Becky Chin, Nelson Hau, Nero Lam, Vivian Low, Mars Cheng, Willard Li and Trisha Kong. For full team, please see WIHO TEAM Members. WIHO had a quick goal in the first period by Trisha Kong. WIHO dominated most of the game and Edgar gave a stellar performance for his first game ever as a goalie on ice, being a roller hockey goalie normally. Edgar saved quite a few crucial shots. WIHO continued to play well positionally and never gave IceWolves a chance until last 6 minutes of the 3rd period when WIHO showed some fatigue. IceWolves had 2 unanswered goals. Despite the loss, all in all, WIHO did not have a bad start to the season.
WIHO next faces GI Japan next week, 6th October 2008 at 8:15 p.m.
